Think of all the nice things he gave us and did for us during the time he was around. Don’t focus on the fact that he’s gone- focus on the impact he made.
The billionaires are complaining that a billionaire tax plan singles them out. They are correct.
That is the whole point.
Efficiency is an under-appreciated argument in favor of taxing the rich. The only reason it seems easier to get $1 from each of 100 poor people, than to get $100 from one rich guy, is that the rich guy is willing to spend $200 in accountant fees and campaign donation to get out of paying the $100.
I personally know at least 3 dozen accountants — self included— who fantasized about auditing billionaires. Especially during a Fraud course.
they do this so that they can prove people use the library, figure out what books are popular so they can make sure to get more like it or further entries in a series, and to figure out what times the library is more buisy
while ive never killed a person in a library (yet) i do sometimes unshelve additional books to boost the statistics thus resulting in increased funding for the library, however small
librarians being a-ok with murder but draw the lines at reshelving books is painfully on brand
